Introduction
Days have passed since 15-year-old Miran Meghwar, a minor Hindu girl from Sattar Nagar in Mirpurkhas, Sindh🇵🇰, went missing. According to her family and community members, Miran was allegedly kidnapped by Tariq Kauri and Allah Dino Kauri, leaving her family desperate for answers and justice.
Despite the registration of a police case, Miran’s whereabouts remain unknown, raising serious concerns about the safety of vulnerable minority girls in rural areas of Sindh.
The Incident
According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at the local police station, Miran Meghwar disappeared after being allegedly abducted by the accused individuals. The case has reportedly been filed under Section 365 and Section 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deal with kidnapping or abduction with intent to secretly confine a person and acts committed with common intention.
Family members say the teenage girl was taken away without consent, and since then no confirmed information about her location has surfaced.
For Miran’s parents, every passing day without news deepens their fear and uncertainty.
Family’s Plea for Help
Miran’s family has publicly appealed to authorities and civil society for urgent action. They insist that the case must not be ignored and that the minor should be safely recovered.
Community members in Mirpurkhas have also expressed concern, stating that cases involving minority girls often take too long to investigate, leaving families in distress and communities feeling unsafe.
“Justice delayed is justice denied,” one community member said, urging authorities to accelerate the investigation.
A Wider Concern for Minority Communities
Human rights organizations have repeatedly highlighted the vulnerability of minority girls in Sindh, particularly from Hindu scheduled-caste communities such as Meghwar, Bhil, and Kolhi.
Reports by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) have previously raised concerns about patterns of abductions, forced marriages, and religious conversions involving underage girls from minority communities in the province.
These cases often spark national debate about:

- Enforcement of child protection laws
