A distressing incident of exploitation has come to light in Umerkot, Sindh, where 26 members of the Kolhi community were subjected to forced labor in fields, under the control of a landlord. The plight of these individuals, including women and children, underscores the urgent need to combat such heinous practices. In a significant intervention, law enforcement carried out a raid on a private prison owned by the landlords, Abu Khaskheli and Aziz Khaskheli, leading to the liberation of the prisoners. This operation serves as a vital step towards upholding human rights and ending bonded labor in the region, shedding light on the ongoing challenges that must be addressed for a more equitable society
