Umerkot🇵🇰: 11-Year-Old Hindu Girl Missing for 20 Days, 💔Family Alleges Kidnapping and Police Inaction

Umerkot, Sindh🇵🇰 An 11-year-old Hindu girl, Lachmi Dhi, also known as Lachhi, daughter of Hero Kolhi, has been missing for the past 20 days after an alleged kidnapping from Rohalwa village in Umerkot district. Despite the seriousness of the case and the passage of nearly three weeks, law enforcement authorities have yet to recover the child or present her before a court, raising alarming concerns about her safety and the effectiveness of the investigation.

According to the family, an FIR has been registered at the Women’s Police Station on the complaint of the girl’s mother, Aju Kolhi. The FIR names Ramesh Rano and Amulak as the accused, alleging that they abducted the minor at gunpoint.

Family members and local residents say they have repeatedly approached the police and other authorities but have received no meaningful response. In protest against the lack of progress, members of the Hindu community and the victim’s relatives have held demonstrations, fearing that the child’s life may be in serious danger.

Speaking to the media, Aju Kolhi tearfully described her anguish and frustration.
“My daughter’s name is Lachhi. She is only 11 years old. A boy has kidnapped her. No one is helping us or showing any sympathy,” she said. “It has been 20 days since she was taken. We registered an FIR, but no action has been taken. We don’t know where she is—whether she is alive or has been taken somewhere else. The police are not cooperating.”

The grieving mother also alleged that the accused have issued threats to the family.
“They are threatening us and saying they will kill her and never return her. We are living in fear every day,” she said.

In an emotional appeal, Aju Kolhi urged senior officials to intervene without further delay.
“I appeal to the SSP and all senior authorities: please help us find my little Lachhi. I am begging with folded hands. It has been 20 days, and she still has not returned. Please show mercy and recover my daughter.”

The girl’s family, along with members of the local Hindu community, has also appealed to the Chief Minister of Sindh and relevant law enforcement agencies to take immediate and decisive action.
“Please show some kindness. Help us. Free Lachhi,” they pleaded. “We beg the authorities to recover her and ensure justice.”
