The Hindu Sindh Foundation is organizing a monumental event at the Main Palatine Library on March 17th in 2024. We invite you to join us for the screening of the documentary, Thrust into Heaven. Thrust into Heaven highlights the tragic occurrences of forced conversion especially of Hindu girls in Sindh, Pakistan. This event serves as an advisory to the viewers and urges them to stand united in support of the afflicted and to spread awareness about this urgent issue.
The issue of forced conversions, particularly targeting Hindu girls in Sindh, Pakistan, remains a serious concern. Reports suggest these conversions often involve coercion, abduction, and subsequent marriage to the abductor. While some argue the prevalence is exaggerated, human rights groups and minority communities report hundreds of cases annually. The lack of a specific law against forced conversions and societal pressures further complicate the situation, highlighting the need for stronger legal frameworks and social action to protect religious freedom and individual rights.
