Hindu student Aman Kumar found dead at Hamdard University Hostel in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan
The lifeless body of a Hindu student was discovered at the hostel of Hamdard University in Karachi on Wednesday. Aman Kumar, a 20-year-old resident of Shahdadkot city in Sindh, was pursuing a degree in computer science engineering at Hamdard University, Karachi.
Aman Kumar’s demise came to light when a foul odor emanated from his room, prompting fellow students to bring the matter to the administration’s attention. Subsequently, the body was removed. Initial reports suggest that the body is two days old, indicating that the student passed away two days prior.
Aman Kumar, the sole brother to three sisters, hailed from a family where his father, Dilip Kumar, is a businessman.
Hostel Incharge Abid Hussain informed the media that Aman Kumar had been residing alone in the hostel room for the past two months. However, the police have stated that they have gathered evidence from the hostel room and are currently investigating the incident. The postmortem report is expected to unveil the cause of death.
Aman Kumar, a brilliant student from Cadet College Larkana, met a mysterious end at Karachi’s prestigious university, sparking a fresh debate. Some argue that parents invest significant amounts of money with the expectation that their children receive adequate care even in unfortunate circumstances. University hostels, they say, should have well-organized and standardized systems for student welfare.
