Brutal Attack🚨 on Hindu Meghwar Families Sparks Outrage in Sindh🇵🇰

Islamkot, Sindh (October 11, 2025): A wave of condemnation has followed a violent assault on Hindu Meghwar families in the village of Ghalib Shah near Islamkot, Tharparkar district, where members of the Syed and Khaskheli communities reportedly stormed the homes of Meghwars. According to local reports, the attackers assaulted women and children with sticks, leaving several injured and traumatized.

Human rights activists and community leaders have strongly denounced the attack, calling it a blatant violation of human rights and social justice. The incident has once again brought into focus the growing sense of insecurity among minority communities in Sindh, particularly Hindus who have lived in the region for generations.

“This act of violence against peaceful residents cannot be tolerated. The Sindh Police and local administration must take immediate and strict legal action against all those involved and ensure the safety and protection of minority communities,” said a local rights organization in a statement.

Residents of the area have alleged that despite repeated pleas, police response was slow, allowing the perpetrators to escape. Civil society groups are now urging the provincial government and other relevant authorities to take urgent notice of the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Rising Fear Among Sindh’s Hindu Communities

This is not an isolated event. Over the past few years, Hindu families in Sindh have reported increasing cases of abduction, forced conversions, harassment, and land grabbing. Many now live under constant fear, unsure of their safety and future.

“Why have Hindus in Sindh been living in fear and oppression for years?” asked one community elder from Tharparkar. “Why are minorities in Pakistan left helpless, and why are their vulnerabilities being exploited?”

The rising tide of violence and discrimination against minorities has sparked national and international concern. Human rights observers argue that the continued oppression of religious minorities in Pakistan demands urgent intervention and accountability.

A Call for Justice and Protection

Advocates stress that without consistent legal enforcement and political will, such attacks will continue to undermine Pakistan’s social fabric. They call upon the Sindh government, federal authorities, and global human rights bodies to take serious action to protect vulnerable communities and uphold the principles of equality and justice.

As the victims of Ghalib Shah village struggle to recover, the question remains: How long will Pakistan’s minorities continue to live in fear, and when will justice truly prevail?
