Breaking News: Kashish Abduction and Forced Marriage, Extreme Oppression of Hindu Community in Sindh Unveiled

Sindh, July 23, 2024 – The recent incident involving a couple from Sanghar, Sindh has shed light on the extreme oppression faced by the Hindu community in Sindh. According to a report from the House of Protection, Aasiya, previously known as Kashish, a resident of Sanghar, left her home and fell in love with Zubair Hasan Yousafzai, a fellow resident of Sanghar Shameer Colony. Aasiya, making the decision to leave Hinduism, embraced Islam and married Zubair Hasan, exercising her own free will.

However, conflicting claims have emerged, with the mother of the girl asserting that her daughter was forcibly abducted on July 22, 2024. She alleges that Aasiya’s conversion and marriage were the result of coercion and manipulation, urging her daughter to return home.

On the other hand, a relative named Rajesh Hardasani disputes the allegations, that the girl’s statement has been forcibly taken. He claims that Aasiya nothing willingly chose to convert and marry Zubair Hasan.

The contrasting narratives have created a tense situation, leading to a sit-in organized by the Hindu community of Sanghar at the temple premises. The sit-in aims to raise awareness and seek justice for Kashish, as she is still referred to by her community.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the immense challenges faced by the Hindu community in Sindh. It highlights the urgent need for measures to protect religious minorities and ensure their freedom of choice in matters of faith and personal relationships.

The Hindu community of Sanghar, along with various social organizations, calls upon the United Nations and other international bodies to take strict measures against the kidnapping and forced conversion of Hindu girls. They seek support in their quest for justice and the protection of the rights of religious minorities.
