🚨News Alert’ Tragedy Unfolds in Sindh💔: Another Young Hindu Girl Forcibly Converted

June 12, 2025: Mirpurkhas, Sindh🇵🇰 In yet another heartbreaking incident from Sindh, Pakistan, a young Hindu girl, Komal Meghwar, daughter of Gorkhiyo and a resident of Tando Allahyar, has allegedly been coerced into converting to Islam. According to reports, Komal was taken to Madina Masjid in Shahi Bazaar, Mirpurkhas, where she publicly recited the Kalima and was renamed Fatima.

This event has sent shockwaves through the Hindu community in the region, who see this not as a case of voluntary conversion, but as part of a disturbing pattern involving abduction, coercion, and systematic targeting of religious minorities—particularly underage girls.

A Pattern of Persecution

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. The forced conversion of Hindu and Christian girls in Sindh has become an all-too-familiar narrative. Many are taken from their homes under dubious circumstances, pressured into conversion, and often married off to much older men without consent.

Activists and community members point out that these acts are often carried out with the silent approval—or outright complicity—of local authorities and religious institutions. Victims rarely get justice, and their families are often threatened into silence.

A Crisis Ignored

Despite growing evidence and repeated appeals, the Pakistani state remains largely unresponsive. The justice system often fails minority victims, and the few who dare to speak up face intimidation and retaliation.

International human rights organizations have raised concerns, yet the global response remains limited and inconsistent. For Pakistan’s vulnerable minority communities, especially in rural Sindh, hope is fading.

A Call for Action

What happened to Komal is not just a local tragedy—it is a human rights violation that demands urgent attention. The state must be held accountable for protecting all its citizens, regardless of their religion or background. Moreover, the international community must pressure Pakistan to implement stronger safeguards against forced conversions and to uphold the basic rights of minority communities.

Komal’s story is not just about one girl—it is a painful reminder of the systemic oppression faced by minorities in Pakistan. Until real legal reforms are enacted and enforced, young girls like her will continue to fall victim to a deeply broken system.
